WEEKEND’S INSPIRATION- PART 180 ( 08/03/2024).
Hello family and friends, it is important we develop steadfastness by:
1. ALLOWING OURSELVES TO BE CORRECTED:- Proverbs 9:8;” Reprove not a scorner, lest he hate: rebuke a wise man, and he will LOVE THEE.”
Constant corrections will always keep us on the path of righteousness. We have come to Christ to learn new things and have better lives. Thus, we must be opened for correction in every aspect of our lives.
We should not be angry when we are corrected in our behaviors, in our domestic lives, in our spiritual lives, in our careers and job opportunities, and in our school lives.
God gave us fathers and mothers to correct and advise us:- Ecclesiastes 4:13;” Better is a poor and a wise child than an old and foolish king, who will not be admonished.”
You should thank God if your parents are alive. There are many people who do not have strong fathers to guide them. Such people often go astray. Correction will help us stay on track so we should not be angry at corrections!
Jesus gave us a classical example when on one occasion, He addressed Peter “ Get behind me satan.” Anyone of us would have been or will be offended with such a strong rebuke. We should however notice that Peter was never angry when he was referred to as satan. Peter went on to become the great man of God who preached to thousands!
