WEEKEND’S INSPIRATION- PART 179 ( July 27,2024).
Hello family and friends, it is important we develop steadfastness by:
1. NOT BEING HARD AND STUBBORN:- Ecclesiastes 4:13;” Better is a poor and a wise child than an old and foolish king, who will no more be admonished.”
If we know a stubborn Christian who does not heed to counsel, we are looking at someone who can stray from the paths of righteousness. Stubbornness to God, to His WORD, to His PASTORS, and to BIBLICAL COUNSEL, is a sign that the person will eventually stray away from the right path. It is just a matter of time.
2. BY NOT LOOKING BACK AT THE WORLD:- Genesis 19:17; “…..ESCAPE FOR THY LIFE, look not behind thee…lest thou be CONSUMED.”
This scripture was a message from two angels who visited Lot and his family. The simple message was for them to escape for their lives without looking back. But, Lot’s wife looked back and was turned into a pillar of salt.
We can liken this story to believers who backslid because they keep looking back at the world and all it has to offer. The world and the flesh are two greatest weapons of the enemy to lure Christians into their destruction and death.
We must take note that God has delivered us from our sins, and it is extremely prudent that we don’t go back to do “THE SAME THINGS WE USED TO DO“ before we gave our lives to JESUS CHRIST!
