During our High School and University ( College) days, we noticed two types of students. Those who were always conscious of examinations, and the others who were carefree and unconcerned about upcoming Tests. It was those who had proper fear of the examinations who did well.
Similarly, if we do not have proper fear for the impending Judgment of God, we live our lives anyhow. But we must remember that God has two natures and characters. He is a father with Great love, forgiving and merciful. He however has another side of who He is; A Judge with these qualities- justice, fairness and equity.
A time is coming where we are all going to judge individually for whatever we did with our bodies ( 2 Corinthians 5:10-11).
That day will be Joy for some people and for some others,”….there shall be Weeping and Gnashing of teeth.”-( Matthew 25:30b).
