THURSDAY’S INSPIRATION- PART 214 ( 05/09/2024).
Hello family and friends, here are three main reasons why we should pray for forgiveness:
1. BECAUSE WE ARE SINNERS:-Romans 3:10;
“ As it is written, there is none righteous, no, not one:”
Praying for forgiveness is important because we are dreadful and sinners who come before the righteous judge for forgiveness! Not even one person is righteous! This is not false humility, but the truth!
2. BECAUSE GOD SEES EVERYTHING WE DO:-
Proverbs 15:3;” The eyes of the Lord are in every place, beholding the evil and the good.”
When we pray, we really need God to ignore our past sins. For if these past sins, mistakes and crimes are brought up as we are pleading before the Lord, we will be obnoxious before Him. Our sins are rottenness and corruption before the Lord. God sees into our every corners and closets. Thus, nothing is hidden before Him.
3. BECAUSE OUR HEARTS ARE BARE BEFORE GOD:-
Hebrews 4:13;” Neither is there any creature that is not manifest in His sight: all things are naked and opened unto the eyes of Him with whom we have to do.”
As we stand before the throne of God, He cannot be deceived by our good words, status and presentations.
Let us beware as “ GOD CANNOT BE MOCKED.”
It is therefore important that we confess our sins regularly and change from our wicked and sinful ways!
