THURSDAY’S INSPIRATION – PART 149 (07/24/2025)
Hello Family and Friends,
In our last message, we looked at how to recognize growth in our personal faith walk. Today, we focus on a vital key to growth in our faith: HEARING God’s Word.
WHY DOES FAITH COME BY HEARING?
Faith doesn’t grow by accident. Like a muscle, it must be fed with God’s Word as noted in Romans 10:17. The more we HEAR and apply the Word,the stronger our faith and trust become. In this way, our belief has a solid foundation.
UNDERSTANDING THE PROCESS OF HEARING
Let us examine the process of hearing as stated in Romans 10:17.
1. “FAITH COMETH BY HEARING”
Faith is a process requiring active ,intentional and receptive listening. This is HEARING with understanding and attention. This type of HEARING is crucial because it allows the message to penetrate deeply, affecting our beliefs and actions.
2. “...AND HEARING BY THE WORD OF GOD”
The word “hearing” is rhema based hearing. This is when the Word of God comes alive to you through preaching, study, or the Holy Spirit. Your faith is fed and heart is stirred when you HEAR a personally revealed Word.
WHAT HAPPENS WHEN YOU TRULY HEAR GOD'S WORD?
1. YOUR HEART RECEIVES IT AS TRUTH
It moves from head knowledge to heart conviction.- Luke 8:15
2. YOUR MIND IS RENEWED AND REALIGNED
God’s Word reshapes how you think and respond. Romans 12:2
3. YOUR FAITH GROWS STRONG AND STABLE - You begin to trust God more deeply, even in difficulty. Matthew 7:24 –
FINAL THOUGHTS
Brethren, the more you hear God's voice through His Word, the deeper your trust in Him becomes. Let us continue to stay in God’s word and have absolute faith in Him!
