FAITH WILL MAKE YOU PASS YOUR TEST – THE CASE OF JOB

TUESDAY’S INSPIRATION – PART 148
DATE: 06/24/2025

Hello family and friends,

One of life’s truths is this: bad things do happen to good people. The real test is how we respond when everything falls apart. Job was a man of unwavering faith. Despite his trials, he remained loyal to God and did not sin. The Bible describes him in Job 1:1:

“There was a man in the land of Uz, whose name was Job; and that man was perfect and upright, and one who feared God and eschewed evil.”

Job’s faith was tested when he lost all he had—his livestock, his servants, and tragically, all ten of his children. (Job 1:13–20)

Yet, in the midst of this painful tragedy, Job’s response was humbling and powerful:
“Then Job arose, tore his robe, shaved his head, fell to the ground and worshipped. He said, ‘Naked I came from my mother’s womb, and naked shall I return. The Lord gave, and the Lord has taken away; blessed be the name of the Lord.’ In all this, Job did not sin or blame God.” – Job 1:20–22

Faith, in this context, is complete trust in God, even when the situation makes no sense and the pain is overwhelming. It’s the inner strength to keep believing, worshipping, and honoring God—especially when life seems unfair.

What would our reaction be if we were in Job’s shoes? Complaining? Doubting? Blaming?

But Job stood firm—and God rewarded him:
“So the Lord blessed the latter days of Job more than his beginning…” – Job 42:12

This can also be our testimony—if we remain faithful, no matter what trials we face. Faith doesn’t remove the test; it helps you pass it.

Keep the faith. Stay the course. Your restoration is coming.

Blessings,
Eric Boateng
