WEEKEND INSPIRATION- PART 176 ( 07/06/2024).
Hello family and friends, our key scripture is 1 Corinthians 15:58; “ Therefore, my beloved brethren, BE YE STEADFAST Unmovable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, forasmuch as you know your labor is not in vain in the Lord.” OUR LABOR WILL NOT BE IN VAIN ONE FATEFUL DAY IN HEAVEN!!!
Steadfastness speaks of the ability to stay in the right direction. It also means you have the ability to come back to the right path when you have strayed away.
Indeed, we must develop the art of coming back to the correct path when we have strayed away.
There are several keys in developing steadfastness and steadiness in our Christian walk. One of such keys is that: WE SHOULD DEVELOP STEADFASTNESS BY NOT LOVING THE WORLD: 2 Timothy 4:10; “ For Demas hath forsaken me, having loved this present world…” Demas love for the world made him depart from Paul on the missionary journeys.
If we love someone, we will eventually gravitate towards that person. Oftentimes, Christians feel they are missing out on something in the world. They feel they are losing out on money, sex, glamour and so on which is absolutely untrue.
Apart from the love for Christ, if we have any love or lust for any Strange Thing, we must kill it now! Or else, they will grow up and take over our lives as idols!
