WEEKEND INSPIRATION- PART 219 ( 06/08/2024).
Hello family and friends, our key scripture is James 5:16;“ Confess your faults to another, and pray one for another, that ye may be healed. The effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much.”
There are many blessings for confession our sins, among which includes:
1. IT BRINGS GOD’S HAND INTO OUR SITUATIONS:
Isaiah 59:1-2;” Behold, the Lord’s hand is not shortened that it cannot hear: But your iniquities have separated between you and your God, and your sins have hid his face from you, that he will not hear.”
Our sins have put God out of our reach. And it seems as though God cannot and does not want to get involve deeply in issues.
Reason why we have to go on our knees daily to ask God to forgive our sins of commission and omission.
2. IT CAUSES THE PRESENCE OF THE HOLY SPIRIT TO RETURN TO US:-
Psalm 51:10-12;” Create in me a clean heart, O God; and renew a right spirit within me. Cast me not away from thy presence; and take not thy Holy Spirit from me. Restore unto me the joy of thy salvation; and uphold me with thy free spirit.”
This scripture makes it crystal clear that sin causes us to be demoted from the presence of God. However, when we confess our sins, we open ourselves up to the presence of the Holy Spirit.
Our ability to confess our sins is a sign of humility!
