THURSDAY’S INSPIRATION – PART 145 (06/26/2025)
Dear family and friends,
Our key verse today is from:2 Peter 1:1 –
“Simon Peter, a servant and an apostle of Jesus Christ, to them that have obtained like precious faith with us through the righteousness of God and our Saviour Jesus Christ.”
Faith, in this context, is confidently trusting and believing in God and His promises, even without physical proof.
Faith is called precious because:
1. It is rare and not everyone possesses it (Matthew 7:14).
2. It connects us to God's righteousness and favor—a privilege that cannot be earned by works.
3. It is the foundation of a believer’s relationship with God—without faith, it is impossible to please Him (Hebrews 11:6).
Faith is described as precious because it is rare, of great spiritual value, and essential for our relationship with God.
This verse reminds us that it is faith—not works—that brings us into right standing and favor with God.
HERE ARE TWO POWERFUL REASONS FAITH IS PRECIOUS:
1. Faith Makes Us Children of God
John 1:11-12 – “But as many as received Him, to them He gave power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on His name.”
Faith gives us the right to become God’s children—not by effort, but by believing in Jesus.
2. Faith Brings Eternal Reward
2 Timothy 4:7-8 – “I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course, I have kept the faith. Henceforth there is laid up for me a crown of righteousness...”
Faith sustained to the end brings a heavenly reward—a crown of righteousness from God.
WHY IS FAITH PRECIOUS ?
– It gives us access to God’s righteousness
– It makes us sons and daughters of God
– It secures our eternal future
– It connects us to heaven
Let us hold on to this precious faith and trust God completely—now and always.
Blessings,
Eric Boateng
