MONDAY’S INSPIRATION- PART 218 ( 03/31/2025).
Hello family and friends, here are two reasons why we must be led by the spirit of God:
1. TO AVOID LOSING OUR GIFTS:- Luke 19:24;“ And He said to them that stood by, take from him the pound, and give it to him that hath ten pounds.”
As Christians, we should bear in mind that none of us is indispensable. If we do not do what God wants us to do, our ministries will be taken away from us and given to others. If God gave us a pound, He can take it back when He wants to.
“ For the gifts and calling are without repentance”-Romans 11:29. Because of this scripture, the opinion is that God will never take His anointing from us. What this scripture means is that, God never changes His decision to call or to use us. However, when our actions and inactions cannot be aligned with His Word, the season of grace on our lives will be over; and He will have no other choice than to recall His pound. He will then give this pound to a more faithful servant.
2. SO THAT WE DO NOT QUENCH THE HOLY SPIRIT:
1 Thessalonians 5:19;” Do not quench ( suppress or subdue) the Holy Spirit.”
As we continue to ignore the Holy Spirit, we will eventually put out His voice from our lives. This is more serious than grieving the Holy Spirit. Grieving speaks of a pause in the Holy Spirit’s input. But quenching speaks of putting out the fire permanently.
Let us therefore pray persistently, and also make conscious efforts not to quench the Holy Spirit within us with our lifestyles that do not please God.
