WEEKEND’S INSPIRATION- PART 197 ( 11/24/24).
Hello family and friends, our key scripture is Galatians 4:18;” But it is good to be ZEALOUSLY AFFECTED always in a good thing, and not only I am present with you.”
Your zeal shows how much you are on fire for the Lord; an indicator of your strength in the Lord. Jesus Christ was zealous! The Apostle Paul was also zealous! We can also go all the way and become zealously affected for Jesus Christ!
Here is one key way that will help us become a Zealous Christian; BY NOT COMPARING OURSELVES TO OTHERS:-2 Corinthians 10:12;” For we dare not make ourselves of the number, or compare ourselves with some that commend themselves: but they measuring themselves by themselves, and COMPARING THEMSELVES BY THEMSELVES ARE NOT WISE.”
This scripture makes it clear that it is unwise to compare ourselves to others. For example, it is unusual for husbands and wives to be born the same day, and also die the same day. We should never forget this fact of life, that we will all stand before the judgment day one fateful day ( Individually), and account for whatever we did with our lives here on earth.
If we compare ourselves with average Christians, we will only live mediocre and lukewarm Christian lives. We should not have any false assurance that some people are not serving God, so whatever little we do, and however we live our lives is acceptable in the presence of God. Let us be careful as we are all going to bear our own burdens!
